A new preservative system from Akema designed for the efficient preservation of cosmetics and ideal for aqueous products such as clear gels and solutions.
Kem CP is a liquid preservative system based on the mixture of Phenoxyethanol and Chlorphenesin preservatives with the enhancing agent Ethylexylglycerin.
Kem CP is a versatile, broad spectrum and globally accepted system. It is water soluble at use levels, efficient over a wide pH range, and has no impact on odor or color of the formulation.

    • Clear colourless & almost odourless liquid
    • Effective against bacteria,yeasts & moulds
    • Soluble in alcohols & glycols, water soluble to 1.4%
    • Optimal pH 3-8
    • Tolerates heating to 65°C
    • Use levels 0.8-1.2% alone or combined with other preservatives or multifunctionals at lower levels
    • Aqueous formulations & clear gels, surfactants, emulsions & oils
