KEMABEN ME

Kemaben ME is a liquid preservative with broad spectrum efficacy comprising the short-chain methylparaben & ethylparaben in phenoxyethanol. Optimized combination with performance equivalent to the standard systems containing longer parabens for the protection of most types of cosmetics.Kemaben ME is a safe and effective blend, offering the advantages of globally accepted cosmetic preservatives of long use history with unsurpassed chemical stability & compatibility.
Kemaben ME is a balanced combination of the fungicidal agents methylparaben & ethylparaben dissolved in phenoxyethanol as bactericidal. It provides effective protection against Gram-negative bacteria, Gram-positive bacteria, yeasts & moulds.

  • Application

    Kemaben ME can be incorporated into the aqueous or lipid phase during manufacture. Its limited solubility in water can be improved by gentle heating to 50°C. Alternatively, for aqueous systems that cannot be heated, a concentrate in a suitable solvent such as propylene glycol can be prepared and stirred into water. Can be employed in a wide range of cosmetics for rinse-off, leave-on & wet wipes.

    • Hair care: shampoos, lotions, conditioners, gels, mousses.
    • Body & face care: serums, tonics, gels, lotions, creams, oils, wipes.
    • Make-up: foundations, lipsticks, eyeliners, mascaras, powders, wipes.
    • Sun products: sunscreens, suntans, aftersuns.
    • Bath products: shower gels, bubble baths, hand-cleaners, intimate, wipes.
    • Baby care: shampoos, bath products, gels, lotions, creams, oils, powders, wipes.
    • Raw materials: surfactants.
