Tinci Materials, officially known as Guangzhou Tinci Materials Technology Co., Ltd., is a Chinese cosmetics materials manufacturer founded by Xu Jinfu in 2000. The company specializes in the research and development (R&D) and production of new fine chemical materials, particularly electrolytes, as well as battery materials and specialty chemicals.
In 2002, Tinci Materials entered the lithium battery electrolyte industry and later became a supplier to Procter & Gamble in 2011. The company went public on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2014 under the stock symbol "002709.SZ."
In March 2021, Tinci Materials formed a partnership with Lanxess, and starting in the following year, their electrolyte formulations would be produced at a plant in Leverkusen, Germany. Additionally, in May, the company signed a supply agreement with CATL.
